We have many groups and programs here at Sanctuary.  If you see one you are interested in,
please contact us and we will be happy to get the right person in touch with you.

United Methodist Women  (Click Here For UWM News)
Our United Methodist Women have two active circles.  The Lydia Circle meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 10:00 am and the Desert Sages Circle meets on the third Wednesday at 7:00 pm. For more information, click above.

Men's Breakfast Group
Our Men's Group meets at Grumpy's on Silverbells at 8:00 am every Thursday morning.  This is a great time to have a cup of coffee, meet new friends, and discuss a little scripture.

Seniors Group
Like to see movies during the matinee prices time?  Like to play dominoes the way they used to?  How about a tour of a local attraction?  We are looking at getting our senior's group up and going.

Singles Group
Are you single and sometimes feel like an outsider or a third wheel when doing things with your married friends?  We will eventually start our own singles group, but in the mean time, feel free to check out our conference single events here.

Food With Friends
Like to eat?   Like to meet new people?  Our Food With Friends groups get together over dinner and use the time as an opportunity to get to know each other.

Lay Speaking Ministries
Do you enjoy running small groups?  How about church leadership?  Interested in being a Liturgist sometime for the service?  How about giving the message when the pastor is out of town?  Lay Speaking Ministries are all about these things plus so much more.  More information here.

Pot Lucks
We sure have a lot of things that surround food, don't we?  We have regular pot lucks and this is a great opportunity to share your skills with others, and enjoy what they are sharing with you.  Even if your cooking skills limit you to bringing a bag of chips, it is still a great time to meet others.

Bible Studies
We have ongoing Bible Studies during the week and also offer Adult & Children Sunday Schools every Sunday.

Fellowship Time
Why run out right after church? After our church service we have coffee and snacks.  Stay for a few minutes, have a light snack and meet some of the other people that come to Sanctuary.

Children and Youth
We love kids!  We have youth activities.  Check out the youth page.

Ministries

Our ministry areas are ongoing groups that have a specific function - to take care of others.

Worship
Gives input to the pastor concerning worship services and helps plan special services.  This ministry is also responsible for finding volunteers to be Liturgists.

Hospitality
Our Hospitality Ministry does a great job making sure everyone that worships with us feels "right at home."  They schedule the greeters, provide coffee & snacks, and they even oversee the potlucks.  They also provide the friendly "Thank You" bags to our first time visitors.

Caring and Sharing
What would a church be if they didn't care about those who attend?  Our Caring and Sharing Ministry calls upon our parishioners if they have had an accident or illness and need a little extra help with meals or just an ear to listen.

Missions
What would a church be if they didn't care about those who don't attend?  Our Missions Ministry is responsible for looking beyond our own doors to see how we can help others in need.

Music Ministry
Our music ministry is actually part of our Worship Ministry.  Our Music Ministry chooses which songs should be played on Sundays, which songs the choir will sing, and what type of special music we should provide for our church.

Prayer Chain Ministry
Whenever someone has an issue in their lives, we let the prayer chain know about it.  This group has the task of praying for those who need extra prayers.

Standing Committees

Our standing committees are the ones that run the administrative functions of the church.

Trustees
The Trustees are responsible for all of the equipment that belongs to Sanctuary as well as all of the rental agreements we have.

Staff Parish Relations
This committee is like the human resources department of our church.  They are responsible for hiring new staff and annual reviews of the staff.

Finance
Our Finance Committee is responsible for several things:  Tracking donations to make sure everyone is given credit for their taxes, Budget & financial planning, paying bills, etc.

Administrative Board
The Administrative Board of our church is made up of the heads or chairs from each of our ministries and standing committees and our pastor.  The meeting is overseen by our Lay Leader.
